Hello there,
I feel so happy right now. Christmas is near and I turned in my last assignment of the semester yesterday… What could be better? Now that I don’t have to worry about doing homework every night after work, I can do what I do best. Shop.
Christmas shopping brings me so much joy; I just love finding gifts for those I love and surprising them. Since not everyone is as keen on holiday shopping as I am, I thought I’d create a gift guide that will hopefully inspire someone else’s gift-giving this year.
Without further delay, please read on for my holiday gift guide which includes five unique and fun gifts:
When in doubt, buy shoes…
I’m currently obsessed with Tieks, the versatile designer flat that folds up and fits in your purse. I want to emphasize the word designer because these beauties are not cheap by any means; they range from $175 – $295 depending on the color and fabric.
If your budget doesn’t permit spending $200 on shoes, that’s perfectly fine. Clearance racks at department stores often have great deals so I’d definitely peruse those this month. Just make sure you know the person’s shoe size and consider their style before purchasing a pair of shoes for them.
Fragrance, Fragrance, Fragrance!
I’ve recently been buying a bunch of fragrance samples from Sephora to find a new fave and I believe I’ve found it. Pharrell Williams’ “GIRL” is a scent for both men and women. I’ve been wearing it for about a week and I can’t stop sniffing my wrists. I will admit that it’s a bit more masculine than feminine and it’s a bit pricey if you opt for the larger Eau de Parfum ($135). The smaller version, however, is just $30.
If the person you’re shopping for has a favorite fragrance, consider buying them that. Gift sets that include shower gels and/or lotions are often priced pretty well this time of year so check those out as well.
Plan for 2015
Purchasing a planner is inexpensive and thoughtful. Since I’m in love with polka dots and metallic colors, I was elated when I found these cute Sugar Paper planners at Target for under $10.
Everyone loves a gadget!
How about buying your loved one a Fire HD 6, the most powerful tablet available for under $100. It comes in five really adorable colors and the citron one happens to be my favorite. It’s affordable enough to purchase for a child or teenager and has all the features to work for an adult.
Plastic never fails…
If you know where a person likes to shop or which restaurants they frequent, buying a gift card is always a great option. This way you won’t have to worry about getting the right size or whether they’ll like what you’ve selected. Gift cards allow people to pick the perfect gift for themselves!
That’s all for my 2014 holiday gift guide. Be sure to check back next week for another holiday related post, I am planning to host a giveaway on my other blog and I’ll be sure to post details about it here as well.
