I’d be lying to you if I told you I’m looking forward to going to work tomorrow. I constantly find myself wanting to start a nationwide petition for all weekends to last three days and I know several others who’d be eager to sign it. I’ve found that Mondays aren’t so bad if I prepare for them and that preparation helps me have a more productive week. This post is for those of us who need a little guidance to better prepare for our weeks. Below is a list of things you can do today to make this coming week one of your best yet:
- Do the laundry. Sorting, washing and folding your laundry eliminates this task from your entire week and helps your week run smoother. It also gives you more outfit options because you have your entire wardrobe to choose from.
- Meal Prep. Cooking Sunday dinner is great, but having lunch for the next few days is even better. Cook for a family even if you live alone or prepare several different entrees on Sunday so you can have lunch at work for the week along with different dinner options. This can save you time and money.
- Pick out and iron your outfits for the week. This is something that I personally need to do more often. Imagine how awesome you’d look each day if you took the time too coordinate your outfits in advance. Like seriously! Ironing your clothes on Sunday also gives you more time in the mornings so you can get more sleep, get a quick workout in, or even cook breakfast.
- Write down your goals for the week. Write down the tasks you wish to complete so that you won’t forget anything. Whether it’s a work related goal or something as simple as making a trip to the post office, write it down. Once you’ve checked each task off your list, you’ll feel uber accomplished.
- Clean up. This is my least favorite of all my tips, but nothing feels better than returning to a clean home after a long day at work. Cleanliness makes it much easier to relax and you won’t feel as guilty about plopping down on the couch.
Is there anything I missed that helps you prepare for a productive week? If so, please share below in the comments.
Have a great evening!
